Notice of Appeal

On October 27, 2023 a Notice of Appeal was filed with the Environmental Hearing Board by Plainfield Township. The subject of the appeal is the Notification of First Land Application (30-Day notice) submitted October 13, 2023 by Trudy Johnston, Material Matters. The Township also appeals a letter from Trudy Johnston dated September 22, 2023 which states that the NBMA farm is currently in the process of being qualified to receive biosolids through an approval process known as a 30-Day Notice.

The 30-Day notice relates to a farm located at 6249 Hower Road, Plainfield Township, Northampton County, PA.

Some of the objections raised in this appeal are regarding violations of the Clean Streams Law, violation of the Pennsylvania Air Pollution Control Act, violation of the Endangered Species Act, and objections to the General Permit PAG-08-2205.
